Make at Hauser & Wirth

After Picasso’s 2D work I switched to 3D round the corner at Hauser & Wirth in Savile Row. Make were showing a range of ‘craft’ makers usually showcased in Bruton, Somerset including Akiko Hirai (Moon jars – far left and right image) and Katie Spragg’s delicate porcelain weeds and Palm House under glass. Beautiful pieces but squashed up against books and catalogues in the shop, which I felt was a shame when the gallery in the next room was loosely filled with a few sculptures. It was lovely to have my work next to Katie’s at Ruup & Form gallery (Collect 2020) and get to know her and her work better.
